Nouza and Rikl Crowned Doubles Champions at UniCredit Czech Open!

Czech duo Petr Nouza and Patrik Rikl lived up to their seeding and captured the doubles title at the prestigious UniCredit Czech Open in Prostějov. In the final, they came from behind to defeat Dalibor Svrčina and Slovak partner Lukáš Pokorný 4–6, 6–3, 10–4.

The doubles final at the renowned Prostějov Challenger delivered a thrilling clash between the second seeds Nouza/Rikland the Czech-Slovak pairing Svrčina/Pokorný. Although the Czech pair dropped the opening set, they regrouped quickly and turned the match around with a composed and dominant performance.

Svrčina and Pokorný broke serve in the seventh game of the first set and held on to take it 6–4. But from the second set onward, Nouza and Rikl tightened up their service games and began to apply pressure. A break in the fourth game gave them the edge they needed to take the second set and force a decisive match tiebreak.

In the super tiebreak, Nouza and Rikl raced ahead, building a commanding lead and earning seven match points. They converted their third opportunity to seal the title in just under 80 minutes.

With this victory, both players will achieve new career-high ATP rankings: Nouza is set to reach world No. 63, with Rikl just behind him. It marks a major milestone in their careers and adds a valuable title to their doubles resumes.
